Traditional Portrait

Traditional portraits are developed first from live sittings. It usually takes one or two sitting sessions, each lasts about three hours, preferably in the artist studio. It could also be on location if commuting distance is within a couple of hours of drive. After the initial painting from live, the artist will continue the rest of painting in her studio.

Custom Portrait

Custom portraits are developed from photographs or from live sitting with specified style or elaborately detailed clothing or background. At first it takes one photography session in artist studio or on location. During this session, the artist photographs the subject in a variety of poses and lighting arrangement and discusses the specifics of the portrait with the clients. The artist will then work from selected reference photos from studio. Clients could also provide favorite photos for the artist to work from. In this case, depending on the quality of the photo clients provided, additional cost could be added.
