Born in Beijing, China, studied computer science at Tsinghua University before moving to the United States to study in 1986. Later worked as a software engineer. Around 2003, self-taught portrait oil painting. Has participated in numerous art competitions and exhibitions across the United States and recently in London. Portrait works seek to capture the inner spirit of each sitter with timeless quality that connects with viewers on both emotional and visual levels.
